Our chapter supports ASIS’s global initative to increase active participation of women in the security profession with the appointment of a Women in Security
(WiSe) representative; who for 2016 is Katie Shepherd. Our Young Professionals (YP) appointed representative for 2016 is Mirza Hussain, CPP.
Whilst a young professional is typically defined as under 40 years of age or an individual who has spent less than five years in the security profession, we encourage participation from anyone passionate about this initiative, regardless of age or experience.
Our chapter encourages YP’s active involvement in our activities, especially the training and certification sessions.
