The Aviation College provides parking free of charge for events. You can notify the Security Guard at the entrance that you are attending the ASIS meeting. In pursuance of our goals of sharing industry best practices and benefiting members from mutual learning opportunities, we are delighted to have the following two guest speakers:
- Airport Metro Railroad Connections by Phillip Johnson ASIS PSP, BICSI RCDD, ICAO AVSEC PM
Phillip Johnson has been working in the Security and Telecommunications field for over 20 years. He has experience in project management and comprehensive Information Technology and Security design specializing in seaport, airport, and commercial and industrial systems. He’s assisted with the Miami Airport Rail Connection to the “TRI-RAIL” which connects passengers with several airports. When Abu Dhabi Airport planned for the new Midfield Terminal Building it provided for three rail connections. Abu Dhabi Metro, UAE National Railways and Abu Dhabi Light Rail projects will have a connection to the Abu Dhabi International Airport. While these rail and metro rail projects will not be immediately connected to the airport they are planned for in a phased manner. Mr. Johnson ensured that the security and telecommunications interfaces for all rail heads were planned into the Airports Master Security Plan. He is a frequent speaker at security telecommunications and transportation conferences including ASIS, BICSI and NATRANS.
- Hospitality Security by Arif Kanji, from the Jumeriah Group
Arif has been working with the Jumeriah Hotels & Resorts for over 5 years. He has assisted in upgrading their Security procedures for all Jumeriah Hotels and ensured consistent training for Security outsourced guards.
He will present on Hospitality Security & Intelligence and the new tools available for protecting guests, employees and providing security during business trips.
Please feel free to invite your colleagues and associates who may be interested (whether or not they are a member of ASIS) so that we can have greater diversity of perspectives and inputs.
I look forward to seeing you then!
