To apply for Board certification, you must be a registered member of ASIS International. In addition to participate in the chapter study programs you must either have, or be in the process of applying for, the CPP/PSP study materials/ exam. Each Board certification has eligibility requirements that are summarised below;


Requirements are; Work experience: Nine years of security work experience, with at least three years in responsible charge of a security function  OR 

Work experience: Seven years of security work experience, with at least three years in responsible charge of a security function AND
Education: An earned bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education


Requirements are; Work experience: four years of progressive experience in the physical security field AND
Education: earned bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher learning OR

Work experience: six years of progressive experience in the physical security field AND
Education: high school diploma, GED equivalent or associate’s degree
